Welcome to Pontifex

Pontifex is an interdisciplinary consultant group, established in October 2006 by Ülkühan Büyük, Guillermo Gonzales-Arica and Obrien Simasiku. Drawing on the research of its scholars and the experience of policy practitioners, Pontifex provides American policymakers, diplomats and journalists policy options and analyses about a wide range of international issues that concern United States interests. The analysts of Pontifex are specialized in energy and economics, military and security, terrorism, peace processes and bi- and multilateral conflicts. Our present research areas include Latin America, Europe, North America, Central Asia, the Middle East and South Asia. We are committed to the idea of building bridges (Pontifex) and that all conflicts and problems in the world can be solved through the effective use of the most powerful tools available to us: information and analysis. Cessante causa cessat effectus: once the cause is removed, the effect will disappear. This website is dedicated to our most recent research we performed for the White House.
