Places to Publish

When you've worked really hard on your research, you want to let the world know about your research findings.  Here we have placed links to journals that accept submissions from undergraduate researchers.

Student On-Line Journals (AEA website)

Michigan Journal of Economics

ODE Journal "The American Economist"

Almost all journals have a review process, most using outside referees.  The job of the referee is to read the paper and make a judgment about its quality and suitability for publication.  Different journals have different standards and different criteria for publication.  If you are looking for a place to send your thesis work, consider the editorial policy of each outlet.  Which one best fits your research topic?  Also consider the type of audience you think is most appropriate given your objectives.  Will a particular journal be read by the people you most want to see your research results.

The Distinction Director can guide you as you prepare your thesis project for submission to a journal and in the selection of a journal for the initial submission.

Happy Publishing!
