The Geographic Information and Analysis Laboratory

The GIA lab is located in Eggers Hall and is accessible to authorized users 24 hours a day, seven days a week, EXCEPT when classes are being held in the lab (see lab schedule). 

Access to the lab is gained by swiping your SU-ID card.  The computers operate on the Maxwell domain, and so all users will need a Maxwell computer account in order to use the facilities.

Maxwell/ Eggers Hall hours:

7:30am to 10pm Monday - Friday

Closed on weekends

Authorized Users

1. All Geography faculty and graduate students may use the lab for research purposes (note: the facilities are not intended for word processing, surfing the web, or email).

2. Undergraduate Geography Majors who have completed one of the techniques courses may use the lab for related thesis work.

3. All students enrolled in Geography courses having a lab component.
