as the 2004/2005 Hearst Teaching Fellow at the Charlotte

also operated my own consulting company to assist small

and Economics and a minor in Policitical Science. Following graduation, I worked doing logistics and marketing for two years in
NYC at a small export management firm, who represented
small to medium sized industrial hardware (burners, valves,
etc) factories abroad for foreign clients. I recently was married and have moved with my husband to his hometown in Jordan
to complete my masters degree in Economics and International
Relations. Following graduation, I hope to work in Washington doing international economic
development in Latin America. |

University in the summer of 2005, Carolyn served as the
Midwest Peacebuilding Program Director for the American
Friends Service Committee, a progressive advocacy and humanitarian
aid organization. Prior to this position, she served as
the executive director or field organizer for a number
of U.S.-based non-profit organizations in addition to working
or volunteering on several electoral campaigns. Carolyn
received degrees in the Biological Sciences and English
Literature from the University of Maryland Baltimore County
(UMBC) in 1999. Her areas of concentration at the Maxwell
School at in Public and Nonprofit Management and Global
Development Policy. |

I have lived in and been educated in Syracuse all of my life. I completed my bachelors degree from Le Moyne College in 2003. My senior year I interned as a Child Life Therapist in a Pediatric Oncology unit. Here I became acquainted with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of CNY and
nonprofits in general which in turn lead me to Maxwell's
PA program. I have a two year old daughter named Isabel and a ten month old son named Nathaniel. I work full time for SU in Bird Library. I love to travel particularity abroad and have thus far visited France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Spain and Portugal. |

Prior to attending Syracuse, I served as an intern for
the California-Mexico Trade Assistance Center, advising
small and medium sized businesses on the federal regulations
and requirements to import/export goods between the U.S.

and PEO Aviation (Huntsville, AL). She also has 20+ years

I graduated from a French Grande Ecole (ENSAM) in 1999 before working as project
manager in the private sector. First of all I joined large
organizations of France as consultant, dealing with the
military (THOMSON– DASSAULT) and afterwards with the telecommunication
(ALCATEL) industry. In 2002 I moved in UK, initially contracted
by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs to manage the
branch of a French company for marketing and sales activities.
Finally I joined a small company to coordinate worldwide
inspectors on behalf of contractors (Bechtel, KBR…) of
the oil and gas industry for the construction of oil platforms
and civil buildings. |

Captain Young-Il Han is the Chief of Military Equal Opportunity, 42d Air Base
Wing, Maxwell Air Force Base, AL. He serves as the wing
staff officer responsible to the 42d Air Base Wing Commander
for the equal opportunity andtreatment program, ensuring
that the mission environment is free from
unlawful discrimination and sexual harassment. Capt. Han entered the Air
Force in 1998 as a graduate of the Air Force Officers Training School. His
initial assignment was as a Squadron Section Commander with the 963d Airborne
Air Control Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. His next assignment
was at Royal Air Force Lakenheath where he served as the Chief of Customer
Support. In 2002, Capt Han was selected to serve as an Assistant Professor
of Aerospace Studies at Syracuse University. He attended the Basic Personnel
Officers Course at Keesler Air Force Base MS in1999 and the Squadron Officers
School (in residence) at Maxwell Air Force Base AL in 2005. Capt. Han is

expert. Also I'm one of the shareholders of a non-profit
organization - Romanian Institute for Training, which allowed
me to do trainings mainly in the fields of youth policy,
conflict resolution, mediation, negotiation and Romanian
public administration.
Starting with 2001, I have worked in the youth field for Council of Europe throughout different
training activities in Balkans(Serbia and Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia) and Republic of Moldova.

I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2003 with a BA in Anthropology and American
Studies. I've studied abroad in Greece, and I spent the summer of 2003 teaching HIV/AIDS education/prevention in Malawi through the non-profit
World Camp for Kids, Inc. Last year I worked with the Centre for International Health's HIV/AIDS Initative-Africa based in the Faculty of Medicine at the University
of Toronto. My current hometown in Carolina Beach NC, but
I have lived in Toronto, Atlanta GA, Cleveland OH, SC,
and NJ. My interests lie in the international responses
to the HIV/AIDS pandemic, and the cultural implications
of the disease. |

of reforms in drinking water and sanitation sector. My agency had borrowed US $ 151 Million
from the World Bank and we were facilitating implementation
of community based water and sanitation project by the Village Governments.

down innovative site-based management systems such as school-based
budget and school governing committee. Now, these are the
major channels for parents and teachers to participate
in school decision making through. Another major project
I have started was Rural education development plan, which
are boosting education in rural, poor regions. Moving to
the office of Planning and management, I initiated a series
of affirmative actions for female students, teachers, and
professors. |

I also received an M.B.A. from SUNY Albany. I graduated
from NYU Dental School in 1984 and completed a General

the Wagner School. I practiced Dentistry for 21 years completing
a Geriatric Fellowship and an M.P.H. from the University

Recently served as International Liason and Technical Advisor for a joint CARE
International (Ecuador) and Johns Hopkins University (Bloomberg) consultancy to reform the national health care sector in Ecuador. Prior to this
position, from Paulina worked four years on youth leadership and civic election monitoring programs in Latin America for the National Democratic Institute in Washington DC, focusing on the political participation of underrepresented
groups and civil society in the Andean region and Guatemala. During this time, Paulina also worked as an elections training consultant
with the OAS for the 2004 Salvadorian elections. Before
NDI, Paulina worked for the Heinz Family Philanthropies
and the Pan-American Health Organization; has completed fieldwork in stratetic planning and organizational development at NDI, and primary health care education and environmental/communication programs as part
of her internships with CARE International and the Johns
Hopkins University Center for Communication Programs in
Ecuador, where she is originally from. Paulina is now getting her MPA degree at Maxwell. |

and graduate studies in France. I first attended the University
of Paris XI (2001) focusing on Life Sciences and Mathematics. I then entered the "Grandes Ecoles" system by joining the Institut National Agronomique Paris-Grignon, one of the ten schools of the Paris Institute of Technology, where I got my Master's degree in Agricultural Development (2004). My main interest is international development and particularly the economic development of rural populations of developing countries.

Public Administration in the fall of 2000. Since then I have been attending classes (Winter / Summer / On-line) to complete
my MA in Public Administration (Hope to finish in Spring
2006). I currently live in Houston, Texas and I am working full time for the United
States Government. I am the IT Security Manager (ITSM) for the Johnson Space Center (JSC) / National Aeronautics and Space Administration
(NASA). As the JSC/ITSM I am responsible for establishing the overall direction and
structure of the I/T Security Program, implementing Federal and Agency I/T security policy, and developing
requirements and guidelines for the Johnson Space Center. |

A lifelong resident of Syracuse, I graduated from SUNY Geneseo in 1983 with a
BA in English and secondary education certification. After college, I chose to work for a small grassroots organization, Citizen Action, having worked for NYPIRG for several
summers, and then went on to work for a retail organization
in their Point of Sale Installation and Training department. I left the workplace to raise two children until joining Transitional Living Services, a non-profit human service organization,
in 1993. There I worked in mental health services as a residential counselor, program specialist and supervisor. In 2001, I joined Onondaga Case Management Services, Inc., as an Intensive Case
Manager supporting folks who have been diagnosed with a severe and persistant mental
illness. Since 2003, I have also been working with the Office of Mental Health and the
Western New York Care Coordination Program, studying Person-Centered
Practices and currently serve as the coordinator and a
lead trainer for the program to disseminate this philosophy and its practices throughout the mental health community in Onondaga County. I am pursuing a MAPA degree on a part-time basis. |

of Technology. For the last five years, I have served as
a regional planner at the Ministry of the Interior’s Regional
Planning Committee,
in the Haifa district, Israel. I have been in charged of
regulative, as well as initiative planning regarding certain
areas of the region. Among other responsibilities, I have
guided the procedure of master plans, consulted decision
makers (on different levels) regarding planning policies
and their implementation, and acted as a representative
of my office in different planning committees. |

After obtaining the BA degree in 1999, Zhang has worked for a private educational
institute as a consultant for two years. During the two-year
period of time, he focused his interests in Continued Education
for employees. From 2001 to 2005, Zhang worked in the Foreign
and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Lijiang Municipality,
Yunnan, China. His main responsibility is serve as the
coordinator for the NGO projects in Lijiang as well as
the programme officer. Such as the LEAP project implemented
by the Regional Office of UNESCO in Asia and the Pacific
on World Heritage Management. He has also worked with OXfam
Hongkong. ADB and UNICEF for some poverty elimination projects.
