SU Libraries Home Page

Includes an on-line catalog and links to articles.

Resources for Economists on the Internet

Useful web sites for economists. Includes sources of data, information on the profession, and a link to jokes about economists!

Government Resources

Fed World Information Network

A useful starting point when searching for government data.  Run by the National Technical Information Service (NITS), a branch of the U.S. Commerce Department, this site indexes all sorts of government data available on the Internet.

Statistical Abstract of the United States

A great site for statistical information. The data included in the statistical abstract tends to be the types of things that are of interest to many people. More in-depth data (e.g. details by state, detailed price indices, etc.) can be found at other government web sites.

Economic indicators

Another good source for general economic data.

Bureau of Labor Statistics

Census Bureau

These two government sites are the most useful if you are looking for detailed statistical tables. Be warned, however. Greater detail means it can take longer to find what you are looking for!

News Media
