Getting
A's On Your Module Paper
Outstanding Policy Memo for Final Paper You will complete
five modules for PAF 101.
The due dates
for modules are listed in the syllabus. Modules are due at the
beginning of class by
12:45 PM. You will lose 5 points if you turn in a module late on the day it is
due (no later than 4:30 pm ), and 10 points for each consecutive day the paper is late. Late
papers must be turned in to the Public Affairs office, 102 Maxwell,
where it must be dated and stamped by an office employee. Do not
give late papers to your TA.

INSTRUCTIONS
FOR MODULES:
1. Read the book before
attempting to complete the modules. If you do not read the
appropriate chapters, you will not complete the exercises correctly.
2. All modules are to be word
processed in the file downloaded from the web. Handwritten work
will not be accepted.
3. To
complete each module, open the file you have downloaded and type
your answers directly into the file. Do not delete any of the
instructions or scoring lines.
4. Keep your formatting
consistent throughout the module! Do not alter the font or size
of the text, indentation, or any other type of formatting or you
will lose points.
5. Follow the directions!! Make
sure you provide all of the information requested in each exercise
and attach all necessary materials directly behind the relevant
exercise.
6. You
will lose one point for every spelling, grammar, or punctuation
error in your paper! Be sure to spell check.
7. Staple your paper neatly. Do not use paper clips.
A heavy-duty stapler is available in the Public Affairs office for
very thick papers. You will lose points for any exercises or
articles that are lost from a sloppy paper.
GRADING OF
MODULES:

The biggest loss of points in modules is
from failure to follow directions. After you complete each
exercise, re-read the directions. Make sure you answered all of the
questions and provided all necessary information.

The points awarded for each
exercise are stated in the directions.

You will lose one point for each spelling, grammar, or punctuation
error.

You will lose one point for each missing page break.
-
On the References page for each module, you will lose one point for
each error in format or punctuation on a citation.
-
Failure to attach required materials will result in a zero for the
exercise.
