Guide to Conducting Public Policy Research on the Internet

This page is meant to provide you with links that will be helpful for your research. Click on any of the URL's (web addresses) to visit the pages. Many of these pages provide their own links that may be helpful as well. In addition, the pages have been rated based on helpfulness and links they provide.

The section titled "Search Engines" provides five sites that will allow you to search anywhere on the web for your public policy topic.

Select one of the following:

Search engines - Newspapers - Crime - Drugs - Environment - Teen Pregnancy - Youth - Non-Profits & Volunteer - Other Sources

Download the link for "free download" on the Copernic website to get a program that will search all the search engines on the web simultaneously and will compile them for you.  It is similar to dogpile.com if you are familiar with that site.  It will systematically add search engines to its search as they are used on your computer.
